Spanish with English subtitles

Mariano Cruz Ordóñez is an Ecuadorian bullfighter who is in mid-life and at the end of his artistic career. He was a renowned bullfighter in Ecuador, performing at major venues worldwide and living a life of fame and glory.

The years have passed and new restrictions against bullfighting have taken place. Mariano’s triumphs are a thing of the past and today he must face new adverse circumstances: he has three daughters who are the all consuming concern of his life, but he is forced to separate from them in search of a new path to move forward in his life.

This is the story of a hero who struggles to achieve his dreams and the story of a child who doesn’t want to grow up. In this documentary we take another look at the world of bullfighting, in which we feel the struggle between dreams and awareness, between light and shadow, between life and death; we experience the world of an artist.
