José María Avilés
José María Avilés was born in Ecuador en 1988. He studied film directing at the Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires and holds a Master's degree in Creation from Elías Querejeta Cine Eskola in San Sebastián. He directed and wrote the mid-length film, La muerte del maestro (Rotterdam 2018) and the short films, La enorme presencia de los muertos (San Sebastian 2019), Speed Paradise (BAFICI 2015), Conversaciones en el jardín (BAFICI 2014) and Ricchieri (Ciudades Reveladas 2013).
